Seventh Kingdom's February event is HOURS away!!!
Now! For the announcements that need to be made for the upcoming event!!!
-There will be filming going on this weekend. Forms will need to be signed during check-in. If you cannot be filmed please let us know so we can explain the steps you need to follow.
-DRIVING NOTICE: Due to the recent snow storms the camp is still under snow. The roads between Conte, Stokes and Troop house are plowed but only enough to let one car through at a time. We're told that the banks from plowing are so high and iced over that even trucks and SUVs will not be able to drive over. What this means is that when two cars come to meet on these roads, one will have to back all the way out for the other car to pass. We suggest that you drive as little as possible, especially up until around lay-on as staff is running around camp setting things up before lay-on.
The best advice we can give is plan out what you'll be doing to minimize the need to drive. (IE: Showing up, checking it at Conte, driving to Stokes to park and then not moving your car all weekend. Or try to car pool to each building.) We do not want players becoming stuck in the banks or aggravated when they need to back up to let someone through. Not everyone likes (or knows how) to back up either. With the snow, lake on one side and a drop off on the other side it's not a fun road to back up on, especially in the dark. If you do encounter another car on the road please remain calm and handle the situation maturely.
-It's actually going to be pretty nice, warm and sunny this weekend but it is still the winter! So make sure you are bringing extra clothing items such as a waterproof/windproof jacket of some sort, something to cover your head and something warm to wear. Layers are your friend and warm socks will keep your feet from getting cold obviously. Bring extra socks along with comfortable and warm shoes. Fall and winter are a great season because you can really jazz up your costume with extra stuff and not get overheated. If you get too cold, make sure you take a break in our HEATED cozy inn and a nice cup of Hot Cocoa. If you plan on sleeping outside, I highly suggest a decently-rated sleeping bag. We will have more then enough room in the inn and other heated buildings for sleeping.
-THERE WILL STILL BE SNOW ON THE GROUND AND PATHS. Please keep this in mind as you choose your footwear for the weekend! The higher the shoe goes up your leg the better so snow does not slip in. We also recommend waterproof as it will be warm this weekend and all of the snow will be melting. Extra socks! Don't forget atleast 2-3 extra pairs of socks! With the snow being wet and heavy your feet are bound to get wet. Having wet cold feet all weekend is not fun.
-Special Request for NPCs: Make sure to wear all black clothing, a belt and to pack extra warm black clothing. You may be stuck outside for a bit doing a mod. The players can leave and go warm up in the inn while you are stuck setting up a new mod. Just keep it in mind and please come prepared. Warm socks are your friends as well as warm gloves and hat. You don't believe how much warmer you are when wearing a hat. Thermals for under your clothes can be an awesome addition.
-We need NPCs all throughout the weekend so please be sure to sign up for a shift during check-in if you're interested!
-Meal servings (meals other then the feast) will be $2 as usual with in game money now being charged for in game drinks. More about this can be found on the Forums.
-We will be playing at Camp Kettle Run, more information on this camp can be found here.
-Staff will be arriving on camp early Friday afternoon to begin set up. Players can begin arriving on camp 4 pm if you're interested in helping us set up. Check In will begin at 5:30 pm and continue until lay on (9:30ish). Keep in mind if you help us set up or clean up Sunday morning you will be able to gain an extra build.
-Check in will take place in Conte NOT the Brotherhood Hall due to the cold. Conte is the out of game building that you first see when you arrive at camp.
-If you arrive late (very late Friday night or anytime Saturday) just ask for Tina, Logistics Director. Players and staff should be able to point you in the right direction. If she is not currently busy in plot she will be more then happy to help you check in. (Tina also plays the character known as Annie, the innkeeper.) Please keep in mind that if you DO arrive late that there will most likely be a delay in your checking in. We will accommodate you to the best of our ability.
-The building (Annie's Inn) we are using for PC sleeping is HEATED and has wooden bunks along with thin mattresses. The Inn has a shower along with a shower house located nearby (but it is closed for Winter). There are also real bathrooms (flushing toilets!) Please bring necessary items to make yourself comfortable. There is also limited space in this building. Multiple camp sites are located around the inn along with the Conte Building B which will be used if needed for sleeping. We ask that all players try to find a camp closest to the inn to make their own so we can make sure you're included in the activities.
-This camp is larger then other camps so there will be a lot of walking (and running) happening, please keep this in mind and make sure you have comfortable shoes.
-We can only accept cash and checks. Checks can be made out to Project Omega LLC. To help the process run faster, exact change is appreciated! The below list is what you would need money for:
- The event is $45.
- To NPC an entire event is $10, food is included and you get full build (5).
- An extra build is an additional $10.
- 10 build can be purchased for $100 (this can only be done once a character's life).
- Black lanyards with 'Seventh Kingdom IGE' printed on in white will also be up for sale for a price of $2.
- You will have the chance to start a tab for your character in game. The money on the tab will be available in the inn to purchase food and drinks (breakfast, lunch dinner, and an assortment of specialty drinks). This is provided to our players so they don't have to carry around their money in the woods.
- Hand Warmers will be up for sale for $1 a pair.
- Some of our players will be bringing things to sell, such as; pouches, shoulder bags, garb, mugs and more! Don't forget some spending money!
We can't wait to see everyone this weekend!
