Note: In order for an Elixir or a Poison to fully affect its target, the target must absorb an entire dose. If for some reason, the dose is not absorbed in its entirety it will not affect a target and the rest of the created Brew will have been a wasted effort. However, if the Brew is consumed in its entirety within the span of 10 minutes, then it can and will affect the target.
Some Brewers bypass this potential obstacle by doubling the dose of their brew. It costs twice as much but in the end, the effect can be worth it.
With the proper Recipe and the proper components, it takes 10 minutes to create a brew. While there are exceptions, Brews expire after 6 months after they are created.
Whenever a Recipe is used, 3 doses are created.
Elixir Notes: Drinking an Elixir is a process that takes 5 seconds of drinking and the imbiber must have the phys rep in hand. If a character is struck while he is drinking, the Elixir's effect is ruined.
Usually, it takes 10 seconds for an Elixir to affect its target. Many Elixirs bestow a latent effect upon a target, these are counted against the limited on latent effects that a target can have.
Poison Notes: The effects of many poisons, on the other hand, can be felt from the very moment the dose is consumed in its entirety. Some poisons are subtle enough that their effects are felt up to 10 minutes after the dose is delivered.
Using Poisons in Combat: Poisoning a blade takes 1 dose of poison and 10 seconds of application (Poisoning 1, Poisoning 2…Poisoning 10). If you are struck while performing this dangerous task, you are afflicted by your own poison. Poison on a weapon becomes inert and useless 5 minutes after it is applied.
Using a Poison in combat is tricky. When you can strike an opponent with your poisoned weapon, invoke the poison name and invoke the effect, forgoing the ability to deal damage to inflict a poison upon your foeman. This is a risky proposition, however. If the target has at least 1 AP from spells or worn armor remaining, then he can ignore your poison by invoking “immune”.
- When using a Poison that inflicts damage, you declare the amount of damage in poison. Poison is a separate category, not stacking with any other kinds of damage. (ex: 10 Poison, for 10 points of Poison damage)
- When using a Poison that inflicts an effect (such as Stun or Confuse), the word "Poison" follows the name of the effect but goes before the duration (e.g Stun Poison 10, Snare Poison 10)
Kinds of Poison:
There are three kinds of poisons: Trap, Ingested and Combat.
Combat Poisons are the most used but the least powerful of these. Trap Poisons are deadlier but Ingested Poisons are the deadliest of all, but their dosage is also the most difficult to deliver.

Basic Healing Elixir: Drinker heals 10 HP.
Basic Soothing Elixir: Drinker regains 1 SP.
Basic All-Cure Antidote: Basic Poison is removed from drinker.
Basic Elixir of Courage: Until the end of the current period, drinker can invoke Spurn Death as if he had the skill.
Basic Elixir of Endurance: Until the end of the current period, drinker can invoke Endure Pain as if he had the skill.
Basic Elixir of Willpower: Until the end of the current period, drinker can invoke Resist Charm as if he had the skill.
Basic Elixir of Strength: Until the end of the current period, your critical strikes deal +2 damage.
COMPLEX
Improved Healing Elixir: Drinker heals 20 HP
Advanced Healing Elixir: Drinker heals 30 HP
Advanced Soothing Elixir: Drinker regains 3 SP
Advanced All-Cure Antidote: Complex Poison is removed from drinker.
Elixir of Deception: For the next hour, the drinker is treated as though they had the Poker Face skill.
Elixir of Truth: For the next hour, the drinker cannot tell a lie. Resist Charm can be used to negate this effect.
Advanced Elixir of Courage: Until the end of the current period, drinker can invoke Spurn Death as if he had the skill and the duration of Mortal effects upon him are cut in half.
Advanced Elixir of Endurance: Until the end of the current period, drinker can invoke Endure Pain as if he had the skill and the duration of Pain effects upon him are cut in half.
Advanced Elixir of Willpower: Until the end of the current period drinker can invoke Resist Charm as if he had the skill and the duration of Charm effects upon him are cut in half.
Advanced Elixir of Strength: Until the end of the current moon, your critical strikes deal +2 damage.
ERUDITE
Greater Healing Elixir: Drinker is healed up to his maximum HP.
Greater Soothing Elixir: Drinker regains 8 SP after 1 minute.
Greater All-Cure Antidote: Erudite Poison is removed from drinker.
Greater Elixir of Strength: Until the end of the current period, you are considered to have the Great Strength skill.
Greater Elixir of Courage: For the next hour, drinker is immune to Fear effects and may invoke “Immune” whenever she is attacked by such an effect.
Greater Elixir of Endurance: For the next hour, drinker is immune to Pain effects and may invoke “Immune” whenever she is attacked by such an effect.
Greater Elixir of Willpower: For the next hour, drinker is immune to Charm effects and may invoke “Immune” whenever she is attacked by such an effect.
Greater Elixir of Deception: Until the end of the current period, the drinker is can invoke the Poker Face skill as if they had learned it.
Greater Elixir of Transformation: Until the end of the current period, you may disguise yourself as the member of another race. You gain none of the race’s advantages but keep all of your own (except for wings and certain other abilities). You need to provide phys reps.
