In the world of Seventh Kingdom not many characters get by without either engaging in combat or being engaged in battle whether they plan it or not. Here are some basic guidelines to follow when combat ensues:
Find a target.
Another man/creature you wish to engage in melee combat.
Walk, advance towards target.
You may not charge through said target (charging the target is moving towards the target at full speed and crashing into them with all your bodily force), so if running towards them, stop about 5 steps away and close to fighting distance (about a weapons length away).
Now you are in combat.
While attacking target please note the dmg of your weapon, by calling aloud, X dmg with each successful strike. X is a variable for damage. Damages are based on weapon size, and proficiency. All un-proficient weapons deal 1 point of dmg. Proficiency in 1-handed weapons deals 2 dmg, and 2-handed 3 dmg.
Hitting the target.
When attacking the target attempt to utilize the 4 point rule – attack the four key points of the targets body. 4 point rule: when aiming to strike a player aim only on they’re right and left shoulder, and right and left thigh. When taking dmg, the Vocalize the damage rule takes effect. (You can learn more about the Vocalize Rule later in the General Section.)
Legal striking zones.
The torso, front and back, of the target, Shoulder to wrist, and leg from thigh to ankle is legal striking area.
Be wary of striking areas.
Head shots and groin shots are not permitted, on any target. And if one occurs, please let the target recover before continuing combat. Damage will not be taken. When striking in the chest area on girls, please use caution. In any instance, please allow your target to have a “recovery time” if any of these strikes occur. There is no 'punishment' if these shots occur, but be warned that if we do see any player continuously hitting these areas they will be spoken to.
