IT'S ALIVE! ALIVE I SAY!
Creating your character is one of the most exciting times of attending a game like this. You can go about it very basic or get extreme about it and you can start the creation process at any time!
Some tips on creating your first character:
- start out basic by asking yourself what do you to do? Do you want to heal? Beat things to a bloody pulp or make things explode with magic? Maybe you're not interested in the physical being of war but you're more interested in becoming a scholar or explorer.
- once you've come to terms what you're really interested in it's time to look over the rules.
- decide which class would best suit you.
- then decide on which race, kingdom and profession your character will be. Each of these decisions will have an effect at some point during your character's life.
- it's time for a name!
- once a name is chosen (the hardest part many say) it's time to think up a character history.
- your character history can be as long as a few sentences up to a few chapters. Explore your new life and really get into it! Usually the players that become more involved with their characters enjoy it the most and find it the easiest to get into character.
- now it's time to live out the life of your imaginary character, what more could you ask for?
When does the idea in my mind become reality?
-Because the character card is posted online you can begin this very minute! Just head over to the Character Creation tab under New Players to get started. If you'd rather wait until there is a Staff member on hand to help with any questions, you can fill out a character card your first even at sign in. We reccommend that players have a good concept of what they would like to play before coming to sign in, it makes things easier both for the player and Staff memeber. It's even better if you already have a complete idea along with a character history.
I spent all this time on my character's history, now I want everyone to know about me!
-Congratulations! You've created a life! Now it's time to show it off. There are two ways you can go with this. You can e-mail, mail or hand in a copy of your character history to Logistics so the Staff can read over it, or you can talk!! What better way to tell your story of killing off twenty goblins bare handed then in front of a roaring fire surrounded by townsfolk? Alot of conversations usually start with inquiring about each other, don't be afraid to really get personal.
Once your character card is completed and signed by staff, your character history is finished, a costume is concieved and produced, and finally you begin calling yourself by a new name is when you've finally created a new character!
