Camp Amity Acres

(Please try to follow the directions listed below. For some reason any sort of GPS or Mapquest will not recognize the address listed above. Alternatively, attempt to use the town of Barnegat when plugging in the address above. This helps some gps models to find the camp.)

Camp Information

• The camp is set on 57 acres in the Pinelands. 
• 4 camping sites that have small cabins, 4/6 people can sleep in each of these cabins. They are made of thin wood and have a canvas door with a tarp like roof.
• The Friendship Lodge is a modern facility housing two dorms, two bathrooms with showers, two kitchens and a fireplace. This will be used as the Inn and PC sleeping areas.
• There is a separate bath house located near the Friendship Lodge.
• Those two locations are the only places with bathrooms. Both locations are also very close to all of the camp sites since the overall camp is on the small side.
• Lake, but we need a lifeguard on duty. Please contact staff if you have the proper certifications.
• This camp is known to have a lot of bugs. (Gnats, ticks, etc.)
• The underbrush is VERY thick and the paths have thick roots along them.

Directions

From North Jersey:

1. Take Garden State Parkway South to Exit 69, Waretown.
2.  After toll make a left towards Wells Mills County Park.
3. Continue approximately 3.5 miles, passing Ocean County Vocational School and Wells Mills County Park.
4. At the fork in the road, bear left onto Brookville Road.
5. Continue on Brookville Road for approximately 1.1 miles past the Boy Scout Camp.
6. Opposite the small white church on the right make a left onto Jones Road (This is a dirt road).
7. Follow Jones Road slowly to the end.
8. Please use the entrance directly ahead which leads to the camp parking lot.
9. Do NOT enter through the gate on the left.

From South Jersey:

1. Take Garden State Parkway North to Exit # 69 Waretown.
2. Make a left at end of ramp and follow directions as above.

From Jackson/New Egypt:

1. Take Rt. 537 (or 538) to 539 South.
2. Follow 539 to Rt.72 turn left. \
3. Watch for Rt. 554 (Barnegat) on left.
4. Take 554 to Brookville Road (first road on left).
5. Follow Brookville road to a white church on left.
6. Turn right onto dirt road (Jones Road) opposite church.
7. Follow Jones Road to camp. Gate on left is to Friendship Lodge.
8. Gate directly ahead is to parking area.
