2012 Season Premiere

Farmer Rohan leaned on his shovel as the sky brightened above his weathered brow. He shivered as a chilled breeze scythed through his wools but there was warmth in his heart as he thought of the troubles of yesteryear. Darknesses and evils were abound upon Freehold and the Hinterlands. But the heroes of Freehold, men and women of endless resolve and boundless power, had beaten back the shadows of the night and the horrors of death. They came from every corner of Midworld and used powers and skills inconceivable to the common folk.

Men such as Rohan knew that the harvest would be good and strong this year. The roots dug deep, weathering the shadows, as well as the people of Freehold had ever done. T'was a wonder and a miracle, but just as welcome as the thought of feeding his family and bringing the surplus to market. While paltry troubles still weighed upon his soul, Farmer Rohan possessed no small measure of contentment. A thin smile stretched his dry lips as the golden sun rose from behind black mountains. For the moment, peace reigned upon the land.

This year marks the first annual "Roll for Glory" at sign-in. Every player will win a small 2012 in-game gift from a list of 100 interesting prizes. Prizes include gold, a random basic cipher, or a healing potion just to name a few.

The earliest you can arrive on camp is 6:30 PM, as is standard for Amity Acres. The entrance to the camp will be marked via sign and glow stick. Game-on will occur no later than 10:00 PM. Winter is in full effect so be sure to plan appropriately for the cold. Consider dressing in layers and bringing warm, comfortable sleeping gear.

Get Ready for the 2011 Seventh Kingdom IGE Season Finale!

Drawn to the light of the new Sorcerer’s Engine, Lector the Immortal Hunger is in Freehold and he has brought the fullness of his necrotic might with him. A few brave souls and a risky plan are the only things that stand between the Eternal Devourer and his feast.
Now, the forces of the living must contend with the Legion of the Dead before all is consumed, nothing is left and death reigns upon the land.

Regarding our ROCKtober event, we would like to thank players for their understanding concerning challenging circumstances beyond our control. How to play this in-game: Main mod did not happen, but if you received buffs that lasted until the end of the month, they are in effect until the end of the November event. All typically-distributed components and gold (as well as monthly abilities, if you used them) will be
renewed at the start of the November event. All uninterrupted mods that occurred at the ROCKtober event DID happen in-game.

The event page and camp information has been updated here.

Look for the entrance with a Seventh Kingdom sign and a glow stick. Other entrances will lead you down muddy roads. Shortly down the path, you will find a parking lot on right. Further down the road you will
find a building called Shobe – Logistics will be located here.

Shobe contains 16 beds. If you arrive there before ‘reserved signs’ are placed on beds, please do not claim them. Beds are first come, first serve for pre-registered players. Pre-registration is still open and you
may pre-reg here. Please don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook! This helps to give us a basic head count for the event regardless of whether you wish to receive the benefits of pre-registration.

Shobe contains a wood stove and a bathroom. Feel free to bring dry fire wood so we can all stay warm.

There’s a lean-to site next to Shobe. Anyone may claim these lean-tos. Consider bringing a tarp to cover the entrance of your lean-to and lessen the escape of heat.

Players are allowed on site at 6:30 p.m.; please do not arrive prior to this time.

As a reminder, we’re holding a recruitment drive and are collecting for Toys for Tots. To learn about the toy and recruitment drives, rules, and the benefits of both, please see the below announcements in the previous post.

Boy Scouts will be present at this event on the opposite side of the camp. Please be sure to remain courteous around the scouts and direct their leaders to Seventh Kingdom staff if there are any questions or issues.

Recruitment & Toys

Recruitment Drive - November 2011

Seventh Kingdom is running a recruiting drive for the month of November 2011. New players will be able to write down who brought them to the game during sign-in. At the end of Friday night a total will be taken of who brought the most new PCs to the event. They will be contacted Saturday and will receive the Seventh Kingdom January 2012 event for free, with plus 1 build option included! The free month only applies to January 2012, and cannot be rescheduled. New players can only record who brought them to the event during their check in and the record cannot be altered once recorded. In the event of a tie, the winners will split the prize (a 50$ value) as credits to their accounts for the January event. For example, if two win, each receive 25$ off the January event when purchased.

Seventh Kingdom IGE has selected Toys for Tots as a recipient of donated gifts. We are offering players the incentive to get an extra build at the upcoming November event by bringing in a toy for donation. We chose to donate to this organization to help families in need and to honor the military service of members of our player base and staff who have served or are actively serving in the military (Toys for Tots is run by the United States Marine Corps).

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

Many of us in the Seventh Kingdom community have been personally affected by the slow economy. Due to job loss, downsizing, and pay cuts, some parents are completely unable to provide gifts for their children this year as they have only enough to cover food and utilities. Please consider helping a family by donating a gift if you are able.

To be eligible for extra build, you must bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10-$15 to logistics at check-in and surrender your receipt for the toy. You may receive this bonus build in addition to other earned or purchased build.

You may only do this at the November 2011 event. While you are welcome to donate more gifts, we can only offer one build per player for these donations. If you would like to help beyond providing a gift, Toys for Tots accepts direct donations via PayPal, eBay, and credit card. If you're looking to get a break on your taxes before the end of the year, consider donating a used car to them. You can find more information about Toys for Tots on their website. Please note that we will only accept toy donations at the event. If you wish to make another form of donation, you must contact Toys for Tots directly.

Additionally, please consider donating your time and travel to assist staff in bringing the donated toys back to the Mount Holly area following the event. Our cars are usually fully packed and we want to make sure there is room for the toys. If we can use your help, you will receive service points.

Rocktober Event

The Seventh Kingdom IGE October Event happens this weekend! For complete event information (including directions), check out the event page. Don't forget to pre-register and RSVP on Facebook.

One year ago, on a cold Reaper's Moon, a Necromancer seeking forbidden powers unlocked a beast most foul. Lector, the Immortal Hunger and the Eternal Devourer, was unleashed upon Midworld and the dead rose to serve him. The land withers before his unholy presence and the spirits writhe against the pestilences of his Legion.

But the Mortals of Freehold are nothing but resilient. In their strength, they have foiled the Father of Mongrels and destroyed the Mother of Plagues.

Now, Lector marches to devour those who have defied him. His Plaguelands are noosed around Freehold's neck, his Legion is bursting with the ranks of the fallen and the Reaper's Moon grants necromantic strength to the ranks of the dead.

The Feast has been prepared and the time to Feed is near.

Lector is coming.

For additional information on in-game occurrences, check out the Hinterland forums this week.

As autumn is upon us, be sure to plan appropriately for the change in weather and the cooler temperatures. Consider dressing in layers and bringing warm, comfortable sleeping gear.

As is standard with events at Camp Amity Acres, please do not arrive on camp until 6:30 p.m.

Racial Legacies

The following are Racial Legacies, special powers and abilities that members of a particular Race can unlock with effort, training or by sheer coincidence. Each Legacy costs 1,000 Service Points to Unlock and each Race has 5 different Legacies to unlock. In addition to the Service Point requirement, there may be Skills or Feats that serve as prerequisites to each Legacy and some Legacies require the player to follow additional phys-rep requirements.

Each Legacy is lesser in power to a Class ability or power. They are meant to be minor themes to a character’s power, not major, overpowering themes.
